Pacific Life has approximately $90 billion in assets and $4.0 billion in equity as of December 31, 2008. The Investment Management Division has a significant presence in the global capital markets, investing in corporate bonds, mortgage-backed securities, preferred stocks, leveraged loans and private equity. We specialize in fixed-income, managing approximately $22 billion of fixed maturity securities as of December 31, 2008.

The Investment Management Division, on behalf of Pacific Life and its subsidiaries, manages a diversified portfolio of public and private placement securities and closely monitors these investments to optimize the quality of our holdings. We also manage enterprise-wide capital markets risks using well defined derivatives strategies. Our talented team of investment professionals has a wide breadth of capital markets backgrounds – most with 10 –to- 25 years of experience that have included a variety of Wall St. firms, other major insurance companies, banks and money managers.
